I am a Bridal Makeup Artist and these are the face masks I swear by

I love starting bridal makeup with a good mask. Even if I don't have a lot of time, I will try to use eye patches at least while doing the eye makeup.

Although they cannot replace months of good skincare (which I usually recommend to my brides), they can create an instant improvement and help the makeup glide seamlessly and beautifully. Here are my tried and tested masks that will work beautifully on your wedding day. As always, I am not looking for the strongest or most active product, but the one that will contribute to overall glow and radiance.

Sisley Paris Black Rose Mask

Ideal for: Normal to dry skin

This mask is a cult classic, and very rightfully so. It plumps the skin and makes it super soft. The transformation is instant, plus the smell is so good. Another thing I love about it is that you can just wipe it off, so when I am doing someone else's makeup, I am not worried about taking it off with water.

Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Skin Clay Mask

Ideal for: Normal to oily skin

This mask shrinks the pores and promotes even skin tone. What's not to like? On the same note, I will mention Caudalie Pink Clay Mask, which is very similar.

Dior One-Minute Mask

Ideal for: Busy mornings

This is my most-used mask, and it's wonderful. It truly does what it says and can perk up your skin in one minute! I use it often on busy mornings or if the bride's hair is already done by the time she's in my chair.

One last note on sheet masks:

They are extremely popular, but I ask my brides and bridesmaids not to use any sheet masks on the day of the wedding. They are fully loaded with products and sometimes leave a residue that can disturb the makeup.
